You can use your Health and Dental Plan benefits anywhere in the world. Reimbursements are in Canadian funds and calculated at the exchange rate of the day the claim is processed. Reimbursement is limited to what the service would have cost if done in Canada.

When applicable, claims will be coordinated with your provincial health-care coverage. Please make sure you submit detailed receipts for services performed while outside of the country.

Note:  Reimbursement is based on reasonable and customary fees.

Where to Send Health & Dental Claims

Please remember to sign claim forms before submission. Allow one to two weeks for your claim to be processed.

Deadline for Health & Dental Claims Submissions

For services incurred on September 1, 2016 and onwards:

All health claims must be received by Desjardins Financial no later than 90 days after the end of the policy year in which the claims were incurred OR 90 days after the end of your coverage, whichever is sooner.

Full-year coverage ends August 31, 2017. Your claims must be received by Desjardins Financial by November 29, 2017.
