U.T.S.U. Equity Garden

The U.T.S.U. Equity Garden is a project that provides fresh, organic, locally grown produce to the UofT Food and Clothing Bank and also aims to promote food security and sustainability on campus by making use of the space around us.

2011 Harvests

In its 2011 season, the U.T.S.U. Equity Garden produced the following:

Tomatoes: 185
Cherry Tomatoes: 280
Green Beans: 22 servings
Yellow Beans: 54 servings
Peas: 3 servings
Cucumbers: 50
Chili Peppers: 33
Green Bell Peppers: 23
Beets: 6

2010 Harvests

This year U.T.S.U. distributed food from our garden to students through the U.T.S.U. office, Orientation Day, and the U.T.S.U. Food & Clothing Bank. Total food production:

Green & Yellow bush beans: 110 servings
Cucumbers: 105
Tomatoes: 380

2009 Harvests

Last year the U.T.S.U. Food For All Garden provided the following harvests to the U.T.S.U. / UofT Food & Clothing Bank:

Green & Yellow Bush Beans: 156 servings
Cucumbers: 78
Tomatoes: 250
Radishes: 15
