Equity 101 Cards Released

In keeping with the trend of educational equity campaigns, the UTSU has developed a campaign focused on providing students with accessible resources in order to teach them and make them more aware of the higher concepts of equity that they may not have knowledge of.  To this end we’ve developed a framework and materials through which we can educate and support our students.

The Equity 101 Cards define key equity concepts such as allyship, privilege, ableism and diversity and are an accessible response to the needs of students on campus. We’re excited that several individuals have asked to create other editions of the cards targeting specific topics such as trans and non-binary people, and equity in healthcare settings. They are available at the UTSU office, equity and student society offices, and downloadable below.
