Introducing the UTSU Ombudsperson

Starting next year, the UTSU will have an ombudsperson. If you’re familiar with the U of T ombudsperson, you’ll know that the role of an ombudsperson is to investigate and propose solutions to systemic problems. The UTSU’s ombudsperson will be appointed by the Board of Directors, serve a two-year term, and act independently of the UTSU. Importantly, the ombudsperson will be a non-member who’s never served on the UTSU board.

Applications will open next month. If you’re interested in the position, check out Bylaw XXI, which was approved by the Board of Directors last month.
