UTSU Wellness Week – Yoga

Unwind with a yoga session led by a qualified instructor! Sign up to snag an in-person spot (be quick, there’s only 20!) or register to join in virtually from the comfort of your preferred yoga space. This class will be easy going and gentle, so even those new to yoga can join! The in-person portion of this event will be held at the 4th floor of the Student Commons. Bring your own mat!

About Afton, our instructor!
After many years of practicing yoga, I hope to help others experience the vast transformation that can occur from this practice. I am an RYT-500 teacher and am currently completing my masters in counselling psychology. I blend my education from both fields to create classes that focus on energetics and mental health. My classes integrate healing the mind, body, and soul, as I believe balance is what creates true transformation. Learning from my mentor Ashley Turner, a psychotherapist and yoga teacher, has allowed me to further integrate yoga and psychology. My classes will help you experience a sense of calm and joy in your life, as well as freedom from your mental afflictions.
