Eastern Africa Students Association aims to powerfully engage the interests, voice and issues of Eastern Africa students at the University of Toronto. Collectively, EASA is dedicated to the promotion of African culture as well as promoting and increasing the importance of African historical, political, social, and economic issues. The EASA fundamentally strives to strengthen and promote an African presence at the University of Toronto and beyond. Workshops and seminars will be held occasionally to promote and strengthen the Eastern Africa identity and culture, this will be an opportunity for students to share their own stories. Annual EASA Gala will be held to promote the EASA culture to the larger university of Toronto community and beyond. The gala will be a forum to bring all students and non-students together for a night filled with fashion show, talent show and many other, events like this will be to celebrate the rich Eastern Africa culture. EASA will also work with other studentu2019s groups on campus through advocacy and outreach.
