Healthy Minds is a club centered around mental health awareness and self-care for university students. This group aims to provide support to those who feel that they need assistance with mental health education, support, and general knowledge, in order to help themselves or those around them. Unlike other mental health advocacy groups on campus, which mainly redirect students to other community resources, Healthy Minds hopes to be a source of direct support in itself for people who reach out to us. This will come from peer support groups and hands-on mental health workshops throughout the year, or helping students contact professional care resources available to them in the Toronto area. We believe that every individual is capable of and worthy of being a valued member of society and especially in our university. That is why Healthy Minds hopes to reach out and be a source of positive support and change for those who may be silently struggling with reaching their full potential due to mental health concerns.
