The Latin American Studies program and OLAS are happy to announce the call for papers for the sixth annual Undergraduate Research Day. The event is scheduled for February 9, 2018 in the Jackman Humanities Building, room 100 from 1 to 5pm.
We are inviting undergraduate students doing research on topics related to Latin America to submit proposals for presentations. URD is a one-day conference, conceived to allow (primarily) 3rd- year and above students to present any PAST course papers or research from independent studies, to an audience of faculty members and other undergraduate students. This setting provides an excellent opportunity to receive important feedback from a mixed (but expert) audience, in a friendly and exciting environment. For this purpose, students must pre-circulate the article or piece of writing in which they will base their 20 minutes presentation. The conference is scheduled for February 9, 2018.
* Please send all proposals (a 250-word abstract and the actual essay) to firstname.lastname@example.org (Email subject: URD) by Friday, January 19, 2018. Make sure to include your name, year, areas of study, and email address.
