The UTSU’s Food Bank team is very excited to announce their new Food Challenges! This fall, they will host a variety of challenges about food relating to the fall theme: Learning to Fuel Your Body with Fall Foods.

Over the next few weeks, you can participate in fall challenges and submit photos of your challenge to services@utsu.ca to be entered to win a gift card!

The first challenge goes from October 18 to 22 and involves changing up breakfast with a staple in most pantries: oatmeal!

Oatmeal is high in antioxidants and fiber, making it a filling and nutritious breakfast. Overnight oats are the perfect breakfast for students on-the-go: make five portions on Sunday night to have a healthy, nutritious, filling breakfast for the rest of the week, or make it fresh each morning in under 10 minutes.

Check out the links below for a few oatmeal recipes found by the Food Bank team that use fall fruits and vegetables.
