At the Academic Success Centre we are dedicated to helping you reach your highest learning potential. Every student is capable of achieving academic excellence, but not all learning takes place in the classroom, and not everyone learns in the same way. We understand that your life is more complex than your academic responsibilities, so we look at the whole picture and take an individualized approach to supporting you.
Our staff have a diverse set of educational backgrounds and interests. We know there is no ‘right’ way to get through university, and we welcome the opportunity to explore strategies that might help you find greater balance between life and learning. We work with students at any stage of their undergraduate or graduate degrees, in any discipline. Come check out our study space, explore our strategies section, attend a workshop or meet with a Learning Strategist.
Our mission is to provide students with a network of resources to succeed at the University of Toronto, both inside and outside the classroom. We strive to create a safe and comfortable community for students where they can navigate their disability and related barriers, facilitate peer support and interactions, and provide various academic and social opportunities. We uphold the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the University of Toronto’s Statement of Commitment to Persons with Disabilities.
The Centre for International Experience is a meeting place for a diverse community of international students coming to U of T and domestic students looking to go abroad. Come and visit us at Cumberland House to find information and make new friends.

Beliefs are a big part of who we are and how we learn, and while U of T is a secular institution, we respect everyone’s right to worship. The Multi-Faith Centre supports the spiritual well-being of everyone on campus and provides opportunities for people to learn from each other while exploring questions of meaning, purpose and identity. Our facilities and programs accommodate a wide variety of spiritual and faith-based practices and encourage interfaith dialogue and spiritual development as part of the learning experience for all students.
The Orientation, Transition and Engagement (OTE) team provides students with a broad range of co-curricular involvement opportunities and supports their active participation in campus life, starting from their orientation to the University, right through until graduation and beyond. This includes orientation and transition, graduate and alumni programming, and the Co-Curricular Record. We provide programming and resources for staff, faculty and students.
The Sexual & Gender Diversity Office (SGDO) develops partnerships to build supportive learning and working communities at the University of Toronto by working towards equity and challenging discrimination. The Office provides innovative education, programming, resources and advocacy on sexual and gender diversity for students, staff and faculty across the University’s three campuses.
The University of Toronto’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Support Centre (the Centre) was established in 2017 as part of the University’s Action Plan on Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence. It has locations on all three campuses and provides support to members of the University community who have been affected by sexual violence or sexual harassment.
The Centre works in collaboration with members of the University community and community partners to meet its mandate.

Silence is Violence brings the fight against sexual assault to college and university campuses across Canada. SIV does not limit their activism, education and support networks to issues of campus-based violence, instead looking to create community spaces for those impacted by trauma at any stage in life. They are an experientially-led collective of students, staff and faculty at the University of Toronto impacted by sexual assault and violence against women. Their work is built on political advocacy, peer support and education, assisting community on campus through experiences of violence and victimization, and creating spaces for dialogue and education. Silence is Violence takes a multifaceted approach to their activism, building coalitions between students, staff and faculty to target issues of violence, victimization and silencing within campus-based organizations.
