Make Sure to Vote Your Voice matters with the election version of the UTSU U logo - Black triangles and a red checkmark.
It’s time to Vote! The voting portal is now open at utsu.simplyvoting.com

From student engagement to mental health, it’s important to read the platforms and vote for candidates who are dedicated to making U of T a better place.

As a member of the UTSU, your vote matters. For students and by students, the student union advocates and lobbies for student rights (from protesting the lack of student consultation in U of T’s COVID-19 planning to demanding safer transit options) and provides services (from the Health and Dental Plan to clubs funding).

The UTSU has done some cool stuff! Did you know we lead the fight for a Fall Reading Week? (You’ll thank us in October). The Student Commons has been our Everest, so many years in progress, and if it weren’t for COVID it might have been open by now. Just in 2020 we distributed over $200,000 in student aid to our members! Your students’ union has a real impact.

In addition to selecting your student representatives, this vote is a chance to weigh in on our two referendum issues: #1 expanding the UTSU’s vital Student Aid Program levy from $1 per student to $2 per semester and #2 continuing to support The University of Toronto Aerospace Team (UTAT)’ Innovation Fund for co-curricular aerospace projects, including the development and launch of a satellite (a levy of $2/student/semester).

The Executive Candidates Forum Facebook live yesterday is now posted as a video you can watch on our fb. The presentations were really informative and the Varsity’s Q&A will give you a sense of what’s important to this group of students running for election.

The individuals you elect have a direct impact on your student experience. Help make 2021-22 the best year of your university career: get involved, make a difference, vote & have your say!
